New Year 2014 is approaching fast

New Year 2014 is almost here. It’s coming faster than you think. Just about as fast as a car on the German Autobahn.

The Autobahn is the pinnacle of the German driving experience, perhaps the ultimate in driving altogether.  Virtually all of the world’s serious drivers have heard of it and longed to take their shot at conquering it.

Some people are disappointed the first time they drive on the Autobahn.  They come with visions of a twenty-lane superhighway where cars are barely a blur as they whiz by.  In reality, the Autobahn looks like a typical freeway, and despite rumors to the contrary, not everyone is hurtling along at the speed of sound.  The stories of speed anarchy are only half correct– many sections of Autobahn do in fact have speed limits.

Maybe your new year 2014 will include a trip to the German Autobahn. Either way, happy new year to all.

Santa Claus upgrades his sleigh

Santa Claus is gearing up for Christmas. A sleigh and reindeer is romantic and traditional, but sometimes you just need an upgrade. Check out his new McLaren MP4-12C. Still red though.

The beginnings of Brembo and Ferrari chronicled in Rush

Here are a few photos from Rush, the film made with Brembo’s contributions that portrays an era of Formula1 when  Brembo was taking its first steps as brake supplier for Ferrari.
